Guangzhou-Zhanjiang High Speed Railway Guangzhou-Foshan Section Construction Site
The Guangzhou-Zhanjiang High Speed Railway is an integral part of China's "Eight Verticals and Eight Horizontals" high-speed rail network. It plays a crucial role in connecting the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, the Hainan Free Trade Port and the Beibu Gulf city cluster. Once completed and operational, the railway will shorten the travel time between downtown Guangzhou and downtown Zhanjiang to just 90 minutes. This will significantly promote the deep integration of cities along the western Guangdong coast, such as Yangjiang, Maoming and Zhanjiang, into the coordinated development of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area.
